Communicating with another member, we are both wondering what, if any, effect sawdust has on speakers (I have to have tunes in my new shop)? I know that the dust will not ge within 3 feet of the speakers (I like music pretty loud-flower child, you know) because the concussion caused by speakers will blow it away. Aren't all speakers 'sealed'?

I have a small sony CD player in my shop and it has lasted 6 years and
still works great. Not bad for $75. Still going strong. That said I'm sure
there may be some damage to the speakers... maybe not heck I don't
know!

If you have dust settleing on your speakers, your just not playing the music loud enough!
I have a tube sterio that I built myself a few years ago and a pair of home built voice of the theatre box's complete with altec horns, I use it to keep the dust blown out of my shop. What's that, speak up I can't hear ya.John How38454.4530555556

John, that's great.
I'm wondering-- do you suppose Stew-Mac will get wind of your idea? If so, we'll see it in their next catalogue for large sums of money. You need royalties on that idea.
